Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 , Chd. Road, Ludhiana Celebrates Birthday of Mickey Mouse



The Kindergarten students of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road celebrated  Birthday of Mickey Mouse with great zeal and enthusiasm in the Kindergarten wing. The kindergarten section was decorated on the theme of “Happy Birthday Mickey Mouse". Jubilant and excited kids posed for photographs with their favourite cartoon characters. The children sang "Happy Birthday  to Mickey”. They had relished delicious cakes and pastries. The students were all bubbling with cheer and energy. All the tiny tots enjoyed the day dancing, singing and eating cakes.

Addressing the students and teachers on the occasion, the Principal, Ms. Vinita Sanan told the teachers that such fun- filled activities make learning truly effective and long- lasting.

 

KartarSinghSarabha2019


A hearty homage was paid to Kartar Singh Sarabha a great freedom fighter at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd Road, Ldh. The story of his bravery was told by the Principal, MS. Vinita Sanan in her address. She told the students that the freedom that we are enjoying is the result of the efforts of such freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for our nation’s freedom. She stressed that the contribution of this great son of India can’t be ignored as we learn selfless sacrifice and dedication from him.

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana celebrated Children’s Day with great fervour and enthusiasm to commemorate 130th Birth Anniversary of our First Prime Minister Pandit Jawarhar Lal Nehru . Today, it was teachers’ turn to entertain the students. Students were full of eagerness and anticipation after looking at their classes decorated with colourful balloons and buntings. Picnic was organised for classes Pre-Nursery to IV, they enjoyed the day with various games and activities including nature walk, animal patting and feeding, camel ride etc. The gleam in their felicity. A unique exuberance prevailed in the school when motivational movies ‘ Matilda’ and ‘I am Kalam’ were shown to students of classes V to XII. To add colours to this celebration a cultural show was also organised wherein the dance and song performances of teachers were greatly admired by the students.

The programme culminated with an inspirational pep talk given by the Principal, Ms. Vinita Sanan. She encouraged students to be honest, hardworking and optimistic. She also reminded teachers their goal to bring the best in every child as they are the future of the world.

 

Celebrates 550th Prakash Utsav of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji with Religious Fervour



Green Land Convent School, Sec. 32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana celebrated Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s 550th Birth Anniversary with piety and spiritual fervour. The celebrations commenced with ‘Naam Simran Jaap’ followed by recital of holy hymns eulogizing the Akalpurkh. Students paid obeisance to Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji through poems and Shabad Gayan.

The Kirtan filled the atmosphere with serenity and calmness. The celebrations concluded with ‘Kadah Parshad’ distribution.

Addressing the congregation, the Principal, Ms. Vinita Sanan expounded the universal teachings of the eternal Guru; she also emphasized the need to practice these teachings to live a peaceful and contented life.

 

OutShines in LSSC Central Zone Badminton Tournament


Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana lads brought laurels to the school when they clinched Second Position in Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex (Central Zone) Badminton Tournament held at Green Land Convent School, Civil city, Ludhiana on November 04 to November 07, 2019. The extremely fit, agile and energetic students ---- Mayank kapoor of class V, Angadjot singh and Kavin Goswami of Class VI, Divyansh Soni of class VIII    won Silver Medals in  U-14 boys category . The victory was like another feather added to the cap of Green Land’s sports achievements.

The Chairman of the schools, Dr. Rajesh Rudhra congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of the students and their coach .

Holds Healthy Tiffin Competition


With an objective to create awareness about healthy and dietary food habits among the little stars, Green Land Convent School, Sector 32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana Organised ‘Healthy Tiffin  Competition’ among students of classes I and II. They were asked to bring home cooked nutritious food in their tiffins and to speak about its nutritional facts.

Scrumptious delicacies prepared by the mothers of young students such as Fruit Chaat, Sprouted Bhel, Salads, Sandwitches etc. displayed on  table mats along with other culinary articles, were feast to eyes.

The Principal, Ms. Vinita Sanan, who herself is an accomplished connoisseur, appreciated the students for bringing such nourishing delectable food items in their tiffins. She also lauded the efforts of teachers for spreading the message of  ‘ A Healthy Mind Lives in a Healthy Body’ among the students.

 

Celebrates National Unity Day

Green Land Convent School Sec- 32  celebrated October 31, the 144 Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as 'Rashtriya Ekta Diwas' (National Unity Day), in the school campus to pay tribute to the efforts of the country's First Home Minister of India. The day was celebrated with zeal and patriotic fervor and the message of cleanliness, unity, integrity and security of the country was conveyed to the students. Celebrations began with students taking the National Unity Day pledge in the morning assembly. To mark the occasion, Students of classes XI and XII conducted a Rally carrying the message of unity, patriotism and nationalism.

Addressing the gathering of students and teachers The Principal, Ms. Vinita Sanan, said “ Sardar Vallabhbhai’s contributions to the unity of India are exemplary. We have the moral responsibility to carry forward his vision and ideals and be the worthy inheritors of his grand legacy.

Spelling Bee Competition


“Spelling is important because it aids in reading. It helps cement the connection that is shared between sounds and letters”.
Green Land Convent School, Sector 32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana organized ‘Spelling Bee Competition’ with the aim to awaken excellence, promote values and provide an opportunity for students to meet and compete with their peers in an atmosphere of fun and friendship. All the students of grades III, VII and VIII participated with high level of enthusiasm. Several students achieved same number of words correctly demonstrating that they all could be the winners. Winners of each section were awarded with Merit Certificates.
Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan appreciated the students and said this competition was one of the numerous enjoyable competitions and gave students a platform to improve their spellings-skills enhance, vocabulary, learn concepts and develop the use of correct English.

Holds Punjabi Declamation Contest


Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana organized Punjabi Declamation Contest for Class X with an aim to make students learn the skill of combining eloquent language with equally eloquent delivery. Students declaimed on the Social Issues of Punjab like Water Scarcity, Importance of Mother Tongue, Drug Addiction, Junk Food.  All students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. The competition witnessed a neck and neck struggle of dexterous articulation between the participants. The students who clinched 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions are Ayushman, Gunveet Kaur and Gungun. The winners were applauded with Merit Certificates.

The Principal, Ms. Vinita Sanan  appreciated  the winner and said this competition was one of the numerous enjoyable competition and gave students a platform to improve their language, oratory skills and build up the confidence.

 

Organized Master Chefs Cooking Without Fire Activity




Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana organized inter-class  Cooking without Fire Activity for kindergarten students. Little hands prepared delicious dishes cooked without fire for class party with the help of their class Incharges. Many mouth-watering delicacies such as Creamy salad, Dry fruit biscuit, chocolate balls, Sandwiches, Fruit cake, Sprouted salad , chocolates chops sandwiches etc. were prepared by the budding Chefs of Green Land.

The Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan appreciated the efforts of the toddlers and teachers she encouraged them to consume nutritious and natural food only for their good health

 

OUTSHINES IN PUNJAB STATE CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP


It was a proud moment for Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana when energetic School Chess Team (U-19 Girls) brought laurels for the school by bagging first runner up position in Punjab State Chess Championship held at Government School, Barnala from October 20 to October 22, 2019. Twenty two district teams participated in the championship. The exuberant girls Niharika, Taranjot and Jasleen of class IX bubbled with enthusiasm when they were awarded Trophy. Shining Sports Star Niharika will give trials for the National to be held at Kolkata.

 

Organizes Fancy Dress Competition for Tiny Totsn


Green Land Convent School, Sector 32 Chd. Road, Ludhiana Organised ‘Fancy Dress Competition’ for Kinder Garten classes with an aim to bring out hidden talent in tiny tots and to install confidence in them. Children of classes Nursery and K.G showcased their talent by dressing up as various characters like scientists, doctors, fairies, Freedom Fighters and so on. Students were full of zeal and enthusiasm while presenting themselves on stage. It was a delight moment to watch the children as they came up and spoke about the characters they were dressed up. The winners were given accolades.

The Principal, Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the winners and motivated teachers to hold such activities to make them confident.

 

LSSC Central Zone Recitation Competition


Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana won the Inter School Poetry Recitation Competition for Primary wing held on 10th October 2019 at Ryan International School. Approximately 100 students from 20 schools participated in this competition .

Jessica of Class IV and  Kanika of Class V were adjudged first in their respective categories sand Agamleen of Class I was declared second. The budding orators of Green Land Sector -32, Ludhiana mesmerized the audience with their flawless oratorical skills.

Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated and lauded the young achievers for winning yet another trophy for the school.

 

GANISHA VERMA OF GREEN LAND CONVENT SCHOOL, SEC-32, CHD. ROAD, LUDHIANA REPRESENTED THE CITY IN STATE SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT


GANISHA VERMA of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana brought laurels and accolades for the school by representing Ludhiana in State Softball Tournaments (Under 17 Girls category ) held at Holy Heart School, Sangrur from 26-9-2019 to 28-9-2019. The team she was playing in bagged the second – runner up medal.

Dr. Vijayata Rudra, the Director of Green Land Chain of Schools    congratulated her for raising the school flag high . Brimming with pride  the Principal, Ms. Vinita Sanan lauded the budding player for her remarkable feat.

 

BAGGED SILVER MEDAL IN CHESS TOURNAMENT


Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana added wet another feather in its cap by winning Silver Medal in Punjab Schools District Chess Tournament (Under 19 catgory) held at Hargobind Public School from 26-9-2019 to 27-9-2019.

Kunal Rai, Shubham Kanda and Shivam Kanb represented the school and impressed the selectors with their chess playing skills. Kunal Rai was selected for the State Level Tournament.

Excelled in Ludhiana Schools District Swimming Tournament


Green Land Convent School, Sec.32,Chd. Road, Ludhiana brought laurels to the school when they clinched medals at Ludhiana Schools District Swimming Tournament held at Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana on September 19 to September 20, 2019. The extremely fit, agile and energetic youngster Arshpreet Singh of class VIII Showcased magnificent performance and grabbed Second Position (Silver Medal) in 50 Meter Breast fly, 100 Meter Butterfly in U-14 (Boys) category. He also won First Position (Gold Medal) in 100 Meter Butter stroke. Another Student Ravinoor Singh of class VII continued with the high spirit and was able to claim First Position(Gold Medal) 100 Meter Free style and Second Position(Silver Medal) in 50 Meter  Breast stroke and back stroke respectively in Under -14(Boys) Category. It was the moment of pride for school when both the students were declared to be selected for State Level Swimming Tournament.

A determined lad of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd.Road, Ludhiana grabbed bronze medal in Central Board of Secondary Education North Zone-2 TAEKWONDO Tournament organized by  Rajendra Public School , Sirsa. Rajesh Singh student of class –XII participated with full enthusiasm and stood Third winning Bronze Medal in U-19 Boys category below 74 kg weight and displayed his strong sportsmanship.

The Chairman, Dr. Rajesh Rudhra Congratulated the winner for his achievement and boosted his morale by advising him to participate in such type of activities in future to develop his confidence.

 

OUTSHINES IN PUNJAB SCHOOLS ZONAL WUSHU TOURNAMENT


Sports have always been a very spirited form of activity which has motivated many to come forth and enjoy the game. With this spirit, the young and enthusiastic players of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chandigarh Road participated in Punjab schools Zonal Wushu Tournament held at Multipurpose Hall, Guru Nanak Stadium on September 03 and 4 September ,2019. It was for the first time when students were exposed to a high volatile competition to play against a number of participating teams. U-17, U-19(girls) and U-19 (Boys) performed amazingly well and won the overall trophy, whereas U-17 (Boys) clinched first Runner-up trophy and made the school proud with their mesmerizing performance. It gives immense pleasure to announce that 17 students have been selected for state level Wushu tournament to be held in Mohali from September 26 to October 1 ,2019

Road, Ludhaina became a pride of the school, when he clinched a Second Position in Inter School Punjabi Declamation Contest organized by Ludhiana Sahodaya School Complex (Central Zone) held at Green Land Sr. Sec. Celebrates Janmashtami – The Incarnation of Lord Krishna

Janmashtami the pious day of Lord Krishna’s incarnation on the earth was celebrated with religious fervor at Green Land Convent school, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana in order to make children aware of the Rich Hindu Mythology.

Colour was brought to the occasion when children were dressed in fancy attires resembling mythological characters. Little Krishna and Gopies were looking adorable in colourful dresses on this occasion. The mesmerizing tableaux presenting the life spans of Lord Krishna were displayed very beautifully. There were much festivities and everyone rejoiced by holding Dahi Handi. Songs and dances based on krishna’s life, ‘Meethe Ras and Namo Namah’, added to the religious fervor of the auspicious day. The entire environment filled with pious feelings when students recided joyfully “Govinda Aala Re Aala”.

Dr. Rajesh Rudhra, the Chairman of the chain of Green Land Schools congratulated the students and made them aware about different aspects of Lord Krishna’s life. He talked about ‘Karma Theory’ that if our karmas are good, only then we can enjoy life and he added that the education is incomplete without religion.

Green Land Convent School unfurled the flag of victory in Zonal Punjab Board Tournament, organized at KVM School, Civil lines in Tables Tennis Girls Competition. In Under – 17 girls category Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 stood First and in Under-19 category the girls of the school bagged Second position. In under 17 category Mridul thakur, Sunaina kumari & Aashiyam Puri and in Under-19 category Rhythm Tyagi are selected for District Level.

The Chairman of the Green Land Schools Dr. Rajesh Rudhra  and Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the winners and stated that sports are a means to inculcate team spirit and confidence among children.

 

Paddlers from Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana Excelled in Swimming


Green Land Convent School, Sec.32,Chd. Road, Ludhiana Lads brought laurels to the school when they clinched medals at Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex  (Central) Swimming Championship held at Budding Brown International School, Raikot. The extremely fit, agile and energetic youngster Arshpreet Singh of class VIII grabbed four gold medals in (U-14 boys) 50M Breast Stroke, 100M Breast Storke, 50M Butterfly Stroke, 200M Individual Medley. He also captured the Best Swimmer Award. Furthermore, Ravinoor Singh of class VII kept the spirit high by winning one gold medal in(U-12 boy)  50M Back Stroke and three silver medals in 50M Free  Style, 50M Breast Stroke and 200M Individual Medley respectively. It was a proud moment when the school was declared 2nd Runner up of LSSC Swimming championship.

Organizes Rakhi Making Competition



Green Land Covent School, Sec-32,Chd. Rd. Ludhiana Organizes Rakhi Making Competition for the student of primary & seniors wing. The motive behind organising this competition was to enhance the skills of creativity, competence and nurturing the inner talent of young ones and the importance of the festival.

The students of the school made rakhis with colourful ribbons, glitters, mirrors, craft papers etc. The little ones of the school, tiny toddlers made rakhis with the help of their teachers. The students of classes VIII to X made beautiful cards to soldiers at the border. They expressed their gratitude on the occasion of Rakhsha Bandhan. Children also expressed their heart felt feelings through beautiful messages in the form of write-ups.  All the students participated with great zeal and zest. A fusion of modern with traditional styles was seen in the rakhis.

The Principal Ms. Vinita Sanana appraised about the importance of Raksha Bandhan and appreciated the effort of all the participants.

 

Teej Celebrations at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ludhiana




With a view to welcome ‘Sawan’ the festival of rain, Teej Carnival was organized at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana. Today on occasion of Teej Celebration the school was reverberated with enthusiasm. The festivity was giving an enchanting look to Rich Punjabi Culture. To add vibrance to Teej Carnival a cultural fete was organized. It was an effort to promote opportunities for students to experience our rich culture and develop important life skills like organizational, Presentation, leadership and interpersonal communication. Eatable stalls were the attraction of the day. There were many ‘Life Skill Games’ to entertain the students and to inculcate in them the value of team spirit. Children participated whole heartedly in all the games. Students enjoyed swings too which were decorated with flowers and gave a charming look. A cultural bonanza also entertained the students to create an atmosphere of Punjabi Culture. Folk dance of girls dressed in Punjabi Attire kept the audience spell bound. It was a joyous celebration.

Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated everyone and appreciated the efforts of students as well as teachers. She explained beautifully the meaning and importance of Teej. She exhorted that we should preserve our rich culture, traditions and customs.

Green Land convent school, Sec 32 Chd. Road, Ludhiana conducted a Special Assembly to pay a tribute to Sheed–E-Azam S. Uddam Singh. Students of class – IV Bacon participated with great zeal. Sanchi Bansal presented the life story of the great revolutionary, whereas Harmanjot kaur shared flashbacks of the incidents which painted the pages of Indian History in Pitch black and made S. Udham Singh a freedom fighter. The assembly concluded with the patriotic songs sung by the coir of the school. The event was successful in motivating the students to love their mother land.

Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan shared her thoughts on this occasion and said that Sardar Udham Singh was all for the unity and solidarity of the country. His life bears lessons for all of us to live the life of sacrifices.

Eighteen teams participated In the competition. In U-14 (Boys) Harshvardhan Singh of class IX bagged 1st position whereas in U-17 (Boys) Mann Sharma of class XI (Science) bagged third position. Winners were awarded with trophies .

Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the winners and stated that victory has to be maintained because it is the fruit of hard labour that they have put forward to attain it.

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road celebrated 20th Anniversary of ‘KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS’ in the honour of Kargil war heroes. The enthusiastic tiny tots of Pre nursery, Nursery and K.G. dresses up as soldier and presented a dance performance paying a tribute to the martyrs and their sacrifices. The song touched the innermost chord of hearts, evoked the spirit of patriotism and inspired the children to love their country. Moreover, the performance highlighted the true essence of peace and harmony.

Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan said “we are privileged to celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas” in honour of our army. It is a day to remember the martyrs, rejoice their sacrifices and strengthen the armed forces”.

These iconic words sang loud, clear and true on July24, 2017 when talented students of Green Land Convent School got selected in LDCA-LUDHIANA DISTRICT CRICKET ASSOCIATION for MAHAJAN TROPHY. The students who brought laurels to school are Dhruv Bansal and Ayush Yadav (Under 12 boys) whereas Sarthak Pathak, Jobandeep Singh Gill, Maninder Singh (Under 14 boys). Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana celebrated Paper Bag Day to raise awareness among children about paper carrier bags as sustainable and efficient packaging products. Paper Bag Making competition was organised with an aim to motivate students to reduce the use of plastic bags. The enthusiastic students of class III showcased their creativity and artistic skills by making beautiful paper bags and decorated them vibrantly  using innovative ideas. The day was dedicated to do well for the environment and social causes round the world. The winners were given accolades. All the students exchanged their handmade paper bags as  gifts.

Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan appreciated all the students and quoted that such competitions explore the hidden talent which enhance self esteem and confidence in students.

Road, Ldh. The importance of saving our environment was brought in front of students with the help of many activities in the school. A tree plantation drive was started by the students of Green Land. The students prepared beautiful charts. Their creativity was worth praising.

A Purifying Ritual – Hawan at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32




Green Land Convent School performed “ Hawan Ceremony” to seek blessings of the almighty for the students for the beginning of the session 2019-20. A huge crowd of students of all classes led by the Chairman of Chain of Green Land Schools Dr. Rajesh Rudhra, General Secretary Ms. Usha Rudhra, President of the Trust Mr. Shabad Rudhra, Director Dr. Vijayata Rudhra Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan and teachers prayed for an auspicious start of the session with the chanting of vedic Hymns and Mantras to seek the showering of Gods blessings. Various devotional mantras were recited by Pandit Sh. Ajay Vashisht  to invoke the blessings of heavenly God for making students dedicated and hardworking so that they can touch the pinnacle of glory in every field of life. School choir enthralled the audience with soul striving bhajans. Everyone was actively involved in the ceremony with deep faith and bonding to the Almighty.

Chairman Dr. Rajesh Rudhra quoted that the auspicious ceremony was aimed at infusing a sense of devotion into students and was conducted to introduce them righteous and virtuous value system of the school.

Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan blessed the students for their bright future. She also instructed them to follow the path of truth, reality, humanity and kindness with love.

 

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh conducts seminar to enroll NCC cadets





In order to enroll cadets 3 Punjab NCC Batalion a Seminar was held at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh. Col. Haramanjeet Singh, Subedar Jaswinder Pal Singh, Subedar Gurmeet Singh, Hl. Balraj Singh came to enroll the students for NCC. Subedar Jaswinder Pal Singh and ANO Mr. Vikas Kumar conducted Physical & Oral Test of the students and selected the cadets. They enrolled 28 JD cadets. Col. Harmanjeet Singh motivated the students to join NCC. He made the students aware about the importance of NDA Examination in the selection of Army, Navy & Air force. The Director of the school Ms. Vinita Sanan stated that the main motive of NCC is to inculcate discipline and maintain unity amongst the students. The revered guest was thanked for guiding the students.

 

Green Land Convent School organizes Spelling Bee Competition




“Spelling is important because it aids in reading. It helps cement the connection that is shared between sounds and letters.”
Green Land Convent School, Sector 32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana organized ‘Spelling Bee Competition’ with the aim to (i) awaken excellence, promote values and provide an opportunity for students to meet and compete with their peers in an atmosphere of fun and friendship (ii) help students to learn spellings quickly and accurately (iii) encourage students to explore  English Language. All the students of grades 6 to 8 participated with high level of enthusiasm. The competition was tough as students were required to prepare spelling by reading any English newspaper dated April 24, 2019. Several students achieved same number of words correctly demonstrating that they all could be the winners.

Winners of each section were applauded with Merit Certificates.
Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan appreciated the students and said this competition was one of the numerous enjoyable competition and gave students a platform to improve their spellings, increase vocabulary, learn concepts and develop the use of correct English.  

 

GREEN LAND CELEBRATES EARTH DAY


Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd.Road, Ldh celebrated ‘Earth Day’ to inspire more awareness and appreciation for Earth’s Natural Environment among students. Various activities were conducted like Inter House poster making competition (Class VI to XII), Fancy Dress Competition of tiny tots, Rally with Earth Day slogans (Class I) covered a wide variety of environmental issue.  It was a great platform for students to showcase their hidden talent. Students of class II & III mesmerised all teachers and students with their unique style of enactment displaying different ways to protect the environment. Whereas students of class IV to VI participated with great zeal and enthusiasm in declamation contest presenting their views on the topics like Earth our home planet, Reduce , Reuse, Recycle , save environment, Say no to plastic etc. In short social values of protection of environment were inculcated in students through various activities conducted in the school campus. Certificates of Merit and participation were awarded to students.

GREEN LAND CELEBRATES BAISAKHI AND FOUNDER’S DAY






The premises of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 Chd.Road, Ludhiana reverberated with Baisakhi Celebrations today. It was a double treat as Baisakhi coincided with the founder’s day of the school. The festivities started with grand cultural extravanganza a fruition of a collective dream that the students had worked to execute. It was a specular celebration with a delightful medleys of foot tapping music, spectacular dances, stunning power point presentation depicting the life of the farmers. The festive spirit achieved its greatest height with the Bhangra Performance when the students performed it in a synchronized steps in colourful attire which enthralled everybody. Celebrating the memories of ‘Founder’s Day’ a school song was sung.

Dr. Rajesh Rudhra, the school chairman cherishing the memories of Founder’s Day headed that foundation stone of Green Land was laid on April13, 1992 and since then the prestigious institution with four new branches of school has endeavoured to channelize the energy and creativity of young minds towards their overall development and perfection.

“World Health Day” was celebrated in the school premises with great enthusiasm. This day is observed to mark the founding of WHO. “Healthy Tiffin Contest” was  organized  for the students of  IV & V Std. The day was celebrated to highlight the significance of good health and well-being. It was a unique experience to come together for one day to promote actions that can improve our health. VALEDICTION CEREMONY OF CLASS XII AT GREEN LAND CONVENT SCHOOL SEC-32







Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 had organized a magnificient farewell for the outgoing students of class XII in the school premises. The students of class XI hosted the heart felt adieu for the seniors. The ceremony “Jashan-E Ruksat” commenced with glorious programme, songs and dances. The warm hearted send off and the fun filled celebrations were graced by the honourable President of Chain of Green Land Schools, Mr. Shabad Rudhra and the school Principal, Ms. Vinita Sanan.

The students recalled their memories at Green Land. The ceremony where the teachers were bidding farewell to their students, filled with anticipation and emotions. The enthusiasm and gusto of the party peeled off its layers with smiles, tears, reminiscences. The dances and songs performed by the students mesmerized everyone. The thought provoking speeches by XII students made everyone sentimental. The cultural items galvanized everyone. The dance performance by XI made everyone dance on the beats of music. The audience was spell bound to see the performance of the juniors. Mehak a student of class XI presented melodious Ghazal. The students also presented a choreography on Father ‘Noor-E-Khuda’ In which students highlighted the contribution of Father in a Child’s life. Different games were arranged in which the students of class XII participated whole heartedly. Piya of Class XII Arts  expressed the gratitude to their Alma Mater for shaping and moulding them into a responsible and good individuals.

On the occasion President of the school Mr. Shabad Rudhra delivered motivational and encouraging lecture to the students, conveying the message of life to inculcate the values of sincerity, honesty and discipline to make their future bright. He guided all the students to accept the challenges of life with full vigour and zest. He wished that the spirit of a true Greenknight will remain alive in the students forever. He put stress on the importance of time in one’s life. He opined that time is the best teacher and the wisest counselor.

Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan enlightened the students to follow the path of moral values which ensure their success in life. She advised them not to compromise on their values for success because success without values is not consistent. With emotional and heavy heart she bade goodbye to the outgoing students and exhorted them to be a good and true person in life.

Vasant Panchmi a festival marking the start of spring  season was celebrated with great funfare at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, chd. Road, Ldh. This day dedicated to goddess Saraswati began with group songs Saraswati Vandana & ‘Maa Sarswati Shardhe’ was performed to pay obedience to the Goddess.  This day is celebrated to mark the importance of ‘Rituraj’ Vasant the king of seasons. Different competitions were organized at school. The students sought blessings from the Goddess of Knowledge. Yellow costumes and traditional jewellery worn by tiny tots caught the eyes of the beholders. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan expressed joy and opined that in order to aware the children about our culture such festivals should be celebrated.

Green Land Sec-32 Celebrates Birth Anniversary of Param Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj.




Birth Anniversary of Param Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj was celebrated with great faith and devotion at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32. On this auspicious occasion religious Shabads were recited. The Shabad ‘Aisa Gur Vadhbhagi Payiye’ and ‘Bin Boleyan Sab Kichch Janda’ filled the ambience with devotion and faith.

Paying obeisance to the Guru, Chairman Cum Director Dr. Rajesh Rudhra stressed upon the principles and teachings of Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj. REPUBLIC DAY AT GREEN LAND CONVENT SCHOOL SEC-32, CHD ROAD, LDH.




70th Republic Day was celebrated at Green Land Convent School Sec-32, Chd Road, with great zeal and zest. The school was decorated with Tricolours Everyone was in a Jubilant mood, full of spirit of patriotism. Sh. Shabad Rudhra President of Chain of Green Land Schools, graced the occasion and enlivened the spirit of patriotism among the young budding citizens of India. The function began with unfurling of the Tricolour followed by the melodious rendition of National Anthem. The ambience of the school filled with patriotic fervor. The students performed cultural programme which highlighted glorious and unforgettable sacrifices of the martyers. The Group songs ‘Watan pe jo fida hoga’ &  ‘Sare Jahan Se Achha’ by students filled everyone with spirit of patriotism. The Oath taking ceremony was performed and the students were made aware to safeguard the most precious and hard-earned freedom of the country. The Choreography ‘Sarfaroshi’ conveyed very beautifully the patriotic fervor all around. It showcased wonderfully the struggle of patriots.
President Sh. Shabad Rudhra congratulated everyone on this auspicious occassion. Speaking on the occasion he explained the meaning of “Republic” to the students. He  exhorted not to forget the sacrifices of the martyrs. He enlightened the spirit of patriotism and stated that we must respect our Tricolours and never allow anyone to disrespect it.

AWARENESS PROGRAMME ABOUT CRIME & SAFETY HELD AT GREEN LAND CONVENT SCHOOL, SEC-32, CHD ROAD, LDH.




An awareness programme about crime & safety held at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd Road, Ldh. on 16 th Jan.2019. Sh. Dharam Paul ACP, CAW Cell and Ms. Neelu Sharma, Deputy District Attorney were the Resource Persons. They made the students aware about the prevailing crime in today’s society. The resource persons were welcomed by the Chairman of the school Dr. Rajesh Rudhra Ji. The students of X to XII attended the program. The program started with the Shabad “Deh Shiva Var Mohe hei”by the middle wing students of the school. Shri Dharam Paul ACP , CAW Cell gave Important tips regarding the safety and self defence. Slides related to the crime and safety were also shown to the students on the projector. He told students regarding the new apps on safety . Speaking on the occassion Ms. Neelu Sharma, Deputy District Attorney stated that women safety in India is a big concern. She advised the students to control their emotions and be confident to share their problems . If they are caught in any bad situation they must contact the police and use police helpline numbers without any hesitation. One should not hide anything from police. Mrs Neelu stated that to respect and protect women must be the first motto of the society. “Precaution is better than prevention”. Self Defence training must be given to the girls in the schools and colleges. She told girls to avoid a person or a situation which doesn’t feel safe. Use your sixth sense. Students must use the internet wisely. While communicating online, keep your personal information confidential. She discussed on crime against women, acid attack, sexual violence, human trafficking etc. She also made the students familiar about the crime and punishment by the law.

Dr. Rajesh Rudhra ji advised the girls to be bold and use police helpline numbers in case of any emergency. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan expressed her heartfelt thanks to the guests for creating consciousness and understanding among the girls students about their safety.

The Army Day was celebrated in Green Land Convent School, Sector 32, Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana to remember the gallant spirit of the Indian Army towards our nation. Students of Kindergarten saluted the Indian Army by doing parade & March Past. The Colouring competition was organized for the students of Class I – III. Students of IV & V standard have made beautiful drawings of Indian Army. The festival of Lohri and Makar Sankranti was celebrated at Green Land Convent School Sec-32, with great zeal and zest. The students and staff were in jubiliant mood and looked very beautiful in their colourful attires. The celebration began with the lighting of bonefire. Gidda and Bhangra were presented by Tiny Tots and senior students. The children and teachers danced to the beats of Punjabi traditional Songs. The ambience of the school was full of vigor and enthusiasm. Christmas Day was celebrated at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 Chd. Road, Ldh. with great enthusiasm. There was festivity in the air. The school was decorated with balloons & buntings. Students dressed as Santa Claus, Angels and Fairies. Everyone was in a hilarious mood. They danced and sang Christmas Carols & New Year songs. The tiny tots visited the senior classes and distributed sweets. The kindergarten students danced on the tune of Jingle Bells. The whole atmosphere was filled with zeal and enthusiasm.  Our little Santas and Fairies made the day joyous and memorable. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan praised the beautiful Fairies and elegant Santas. She congratulated everyone on the occasion. In her address she gave the message to serve humanity in the true spirit.

LSSC (Central Zone) Group Dance Competition was organized at GRD Academy, Ludhiana in which many teams participated from different CBSE schools of Ludhiana. The Competition was divided into two categories, CategoryA (K.G. to II) and Category B (III to V). The students of the school participated in both the category and brought laurels to the school by winning 1st Prize in category A and 3rdprize in category B. An overall First Runner Up trophy was also awarded to the students. Chairman of the school Dr. Rajesh Rudhra ji congratulated the winning teams for their glorious success. It was a proud moment for Green Land Sec-32 when its students received Second Runner-Up Trophy in the LSSC (Central Zone) Group Discussion Competition which was held at Kundan Vidya Mandir, Civil Lines, Ldh. Students of different CBSE schools participated in the competition. Manav Singh & Gurkiranjot Kaur of Class X and Piya Verma of Class XII participated enthusiastically in the competition and brought laurels to the school with their brilliant participation. Trial for the game was held at Cambridge International School, Jalandhar. The National Level Championship will be held at Silvasa (Gujarat) on 11th to 14th Dec,2018. Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ludhiana celebrated Constitution Day on 26th Nov.,2018. The day was celebrated with great zeal and zest. The students from classes IX to XII participated in the celebration. A special assembly was organized for the celebration of the day. Students delivered speech on the constitution and its salient features. They highlighted the significance of celebrating the constitution day. They also recited the preamble. On this occasion, the different activities were conducted like “Reading of Fundamental Rights” and “Group Discussion”. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan advised the students to respect the constitutional values. She guided the future citizen of India to shoulder the responsibility of our country faithfully and honestly by giving regard and respect to the constitutional values.

 

Prakash Utsav Celebrated At Green Land Convent School Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh.


Prakash Utsav of Guru Nanak Dev Ji was celebrated with great creed and devotion at Green Land Convent School, Sector 32, Chandigarh Road. The ambiance of the school premises was filled with serenity & tranquility. The students beautifully recited Shabads, ‘Kal Dharan Guru Nanak Aaiaan, Guru Ka Darshan Vekh Vekh Jiva, Mera Sunder Swami Ji, Thakur Tum Sharnai Aya, Satguru Nanak Pargteya and many more. Everyone was dazzled by the devout Hymns & Kirtan.

The students conveyed the holy message of Guruji very beautifully through speeches and poems emphasising the importance of truthfulness, love and peace. The students also highlighted the preaching of Guruji against superstitions and false rituals in their speech. On this auspicious occasion, Principal of the school Ms. Vinita Sanan motivated the students to follow the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The Birth Anniversary of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, the first Union Minister of Education was observed as ‘National Education Day’ at Green Land Convent School Sec-32, Chd. Road Ludhiana. This day was celebrated in an excellent manner. Different activities were conducted in the school premises to pay heart-felt tribute to the eminent educationist & the great freedom fighter Maulana Azad. The students of classes IX & X participated in Slogan Writing Competition. The theme of the competition was “EDUCATION FOR ONE & ALL”. The school also organized elocution competitions in which students of X Std. participated. The Director Mrs. Vinita Sanan delivered the speech highlighting contribution of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad in the field of education. The Chairman of the school Sh. Rajesh Rudhra also paid his tribute to Maulana Azad & advised the students to follow his footsteps.

To add vibrance to school atmosphere on Childrens’ Day, a ‘Funfair’ was organized at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. on 14th & 15th November, 2018. It was organized for the classes P.NSY-X. The festive spirit and enthusiasm of children was worth watching. On this occasion Poster Making Competition was organized to throw light on the achievements of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. Posters made by children on various topics were put on display. In order to inculcate the team spirit among students, many stalls of games were organized like Hit the Target, Touch Me Not, Balloon Bursting, Coin in the bowl, Ring the object, Spin The Wheel and many more. To add colours to this gala event a cultural and musical show was also organized. The music in Orchestra spell bound  everyone with beats. ‘Lakdi Ki Kathi’, Nanha Munna Rahi Hoon, I Love My Teacher were the group songs which mesmerized everyone. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan, congratulated all the students. On this auspicious occasion she conveyed the message to the students that failure comes only when we forget our ideals, objectives and Principles. The Paddlers from Green Land Convent school, Sec-32 emerged victorious in LSSC Table Tennis Tournament held at Darshan Academy, Bhamian, Ldh. Teams of both boys and girls from different CBSE schools participated in the competition. In Under-14, Under-17 & Under-19 Girls of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 secured First Position. In Under-14 Boys Category bagged Third Position. They worked very hard to achieve this goal.

Chairman Dr. Rajesh Rudhra congratulated the winners and stated that sports are the means to inculcate team spirit and confidence among children.

Director Ms. Vinita Sanan expressed satisfaction at the performance of the students. She opined that participation in games and sports is mandatory for the overall growth of children.

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 Celebrated ‘World Postal Day’



Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 Ldh. celebrated the ‘World Postal Day’ in the school campus. The tiny tots of class II participated with full zest & zeal and elaborated the postal activities by dramatization. The objective was to bring awareness about the importance of postal services and their role in the lives of people and business everyday. Director of the school Ms. Vinita Sanan appreciated the students for their participation.

 

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 Excels in Sates

It was a moment of jubilation and exuberance for Greenland Sec.32 Chd. Road, Ludhiana when Mridul Thakur, a shining star of this school got III Position in State Level Table Tennis Tournament. The competition was organized in Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Patiala. Under-14 girls participated in it. The team of girls secured third position. The winners were welcomed warmly. Chairman of the school Mr. Rajesh Rudhra congratulated the gems of the school and expressed that it is the will power that can win us many battles. Director of the school Ms. Vinita Sanan exhorted the students to come forward and take interest in sports too if they want to touch the heights in life.

 

Green Land Sec-32, Shines In Karate Tournament

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. participated in Punjab Schools Karate Tournament, held at Guru Nanak Staidum, Ludhiana. More than 15 schools of Ludhiana participated in this tournament to try their luck. 9 students in all participated from Green Land and all of them proved their mettle by winning Gold, Silver & Bronze.

2 students bagged Gold Medals and won laurels for the school. 6 students brought name & fame to school by winning Silver Medal and 1 student got Bronze Medal.

The Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan applauded the efforts of the students as well as their Coach. She opined that such competitions enhance the confidence.

 

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 Girls Unfurled TheFlag of Victory in Table Tennis

Under-14 Girls of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. unfurled the flag of victory in District Level Table Tennis Tournament which was organized at Guru Nanak Stadium, Ldh. The teams from different schools participated in this tournament. In Under-14 Category Rytham Tyagi, Ashiyan Puri, Sunaina Kumari & Sanya Garcha grabbed I Position. It was a moment of jubilation for the school.

It was a gala time for Green Land Lasses when girls of Green Land Convent Sector – 32 Chandigarh Road excelled in Table Tennis CBSE Cluster Championship held at Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan’s S.L. Public School, Amritsar. It was organized from 27th September, 2018 to 30th September, 2018. Under 19 girls brought fame for the school when they grabbed third position in the competition. Mehakjot Kaur of U- 19 category stood second individually and got the honours of being selected for National level. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan had all praise for the girls.

 

CHAIN OF GREEN LAND SCHOOLS CONTRIBUTED RS. 6 LAKH FOR KERALA VICTIMS AND APPEALED THE GOVERNMENT TO GRACE PADMASHRI VIJAY CHOPRA JI WITH BHARAT RATNA

Keeping alive the spirit of selfless service for the Nation Dr. Rajesh Rudhra, Chairman of Green Land Chain of Schools, Ldh. invited Padmashri Sh. Vijay Kumar Chopra, Chairman of Punjab Kesari Group Print news organization to hand over a cheque of Rs. 6 Lakhs in Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for Kerala victims. Sh. Vijay Kumar Chopra was welcomed whole heartedly by the Chairman Dr. Rajesh Rudhra accompanied by Mr. Harish Rudhra (Vice Chairman), Mr. Shabad Rudhra (President of the Trust), Mrs. Usha Rudhra (General Secretary), Mr. Ravi Kalra (Secretary), Sh. Anil Nayyar (President, Silver Samaj Sewa Society), Dr. Vijayata Rudhra (Director Green Land Convent School Dugri), Ms. Vinita Sanan (Director, Green Land School), Mrs. Baldeep Pandher (Principal of Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School, Jalandhar Bye Pass), Ms. Jyoti Pujara (Principal of Green Land Convent School, Subhash Nagar), Ms. Ritu (Principal of Green Land Convent School, Civil City) and Ms. Manpreet Kaur (Principal of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32).

The cheque of Rs. 6 Lakh was presented to Sh. Vijay Kumar Chopra by the Management members, teachers and students of all the branches of Green Land in an event organized at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh.

A cultural programme was also organized in the school premises. It started with obeisance to ‘Shakti Maa’ in the form of Vandana followed by a motivational choreography ‘Benevolence’ predicting philanthropy and duty of every citizen to bequeath for noble cause. It was an effort to inspire everyone to give maximum benefaction at the time of need. Lastly there was a play ‘Intzaar’ which mesmerized everyone with its beautiful depiction of declining moral values, ethics and how unemployment can lead to degradation of human beings.

Speaking on the occasion Sh. Vijay Chopra opined that Dr. Rajesh Rudhra is a notable social worker who has always been the first to help the needy. With education, his main interest is in healing the wounds of humanity by contributing whole heartedly. This is the result of his untiring efforts and inspiration that the students and teachers of Chain of Green Land Schools render every possible help to deal with the natural calamities of the country.

He further stated that Green Land Group of Schools has always supported these type of efforts and stand by the country in every mishap. He further said Green Land students came forward to donate for flood affected people of Kerala. He expressed happiness that every section of Green Land Schools contributed generously for Kerala flood victims and these little school students have shown the spirit and came forward for this social cause.

Dr. Rajesh Rudhra a famous educationist & Chairman of Chain of Green Land Schools expressed his heart-felt thanks to the Chief Guest Sh. Vijay Kumar Chopra the Chairman of Punjab Kesari who spared his precious time and honoured the institution with his graceful presence.

He further stated that many social welfare organizations have been running in the country through the motivation and inspiration of Sh. Vijay Kumar Chopra Ji. Wherever any natural calamity has risen within the country Punjab Kesari has always been the protagonist in helping the victims. Sh. Vijay Kumar Chopra Ji has shown the nation the path of service by doing noble deeds. Punjab Kesari Group has always been helping people around in rehabilitation, sanitary and hygiene quality and much more. It also helped wholeheartedly in procuring basic necessities for the flood victims in Kerala.

Dr. Rajesh Rudhra Ji expressed vehemently that service to humanity is service to God. His heart was full of sorrow and grief for the victims of Kerala disaster. He said that the contribution of his institution for Prime Minister’s Relief Fund is a small effort in comparison to the loss people have faced. It is a very small effort to heal their sorrow. He concluded with emotional words that in future also nothing can budge him from serving humanity at any cost. The event ended with rendition of National Anthem.

 

Paddlers From Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Excelled in Swimming

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 lads brought laurels to the school when they clinched medals at PAU in Punjab Board Swimming Tournament at District level. Ravinoor grabbed Silver Medal in 100 meter Free Style and Bronze Medal in 50 metres Back Stroke. Arshpreet won Bronze Medal in Breast Stroke in 100 metres. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan stated that such competitions give us confidence and help us move further in life.

 

GREEN LAND CONVENT SCHOOL, SEC-32, LDH. LADS UNFURLED THE FLAG OF VICTORY

Zone PAU unfurled the flag of victory in the grounds of Govt. School, PAU in an exciting final match of Cricket Tournament at District Level which was played between PAU V/S Ludhiana II where the team of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. bagged First Position. The hero of the winning team was Shubhdeep of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh.

In this fabulous match Ludhiana II won the toss and decided to bat. They scored 105 runs with the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Bharat of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 got two wickets in 4 overs and he gave 20 runs. Following the chase, Shubham of Green Land Convent School, sec-32 contributed 57 runs and remained not out till the inning ended, made the PAU team victorious with his hard toil. It was the untiring efforts of these two Green Landers that they made their team, coach and school proud. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the children and encouraged them with praise by saying that if we practice hard, the sky in the limit.

 

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ends Up Winning I Position In CricketTournament

Green Land Convent, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. emerged victorious in Punjab School Board, Cricket Tournament at Zonal Level held at International Public School, Ldh. In Under-14 Boys grabbed I Position. Final Match was played between Green Land and I.P.S in which Green Land batted first with 118 runs in 15 overs with the loss of 3 wickets. In next inning I.P.S scored 68 runs in 14.5 overs consequently lost the match. Bharat Madhok with 61 runs, was the highest scorer in this match as well as in the tournament. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra Chairman-Cum Director of the school stated that such competitions should be held regularly to exhibit the plethora of talent amongst the children. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan of the school congratulated the winners & Cricket Coach and applauded their efforts.

 

Janamashtami Celebrations At Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh.

The whole Green Land Convent School, sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh was reverberated with enthusiasm on the occasion of Janamashtami, the day of Shri Krishna’s incarnation, the apostle of love and religion. In the gala event, the school was decorated with buntings and balloons. The religious ambience of the school filled the atmosphere with devotion. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra, Chairman-Cum-Director was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The cultural programme commenced with a Bhajan in the praise of Lord Krishna. Bhajans by students filled the atmosphere with religious fervour attracted everyone’s attention with their mesmerizing beats.

Sh. Rajesh Rudhra Ji congratulated all on the occasion. He narrated the story of Lord Krishna’s birth to the students. He exhorted the students to learn just behavior and compassion from Lord Krishna. Paddlers from Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. proved their mettle by winning Third Position in Under 14 girls category in Punjab Schools Zonal, Badminton Tournament 2018 held at Guru Nanak Stadium. In this tournament Harmanjot Kaur was selected for District Level. The students made the teachers & parents proud with their glorious and outstanding performance. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the winners and applauded their relentless efforts.

 

Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 Brought Fame in One Act Play

Lads of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. mesmerized everyone with their scintillating appearance and wonderful performance by bagging I position and Overall Trophy in the One Act Play ‘INTZAAR’ written by Mr. John. It was Ludhiana Sahodaya School Complex ‘One Act Play’ Competition which was held at Kundan Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec. School. The theme of the play was based upon ‘Be The Change’. There were many teams from different schools of Ludhiana. Ayushmaan of IX std. spell bound everyone with his performance and clinched Best Actor Award with Rs. 1100/- Cash Prize. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the winners and motivated them to participate in such competition in future also.

 

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS AT GREEN LAND CONVENT SCHOOL,SEC-32

72nd Independence Day was celebrated at Green Land Convent School, Sec- 32 Chandigarh Road with great fan fare. The whole school was decorated with buntings and balloons of tri-colour. The students were dressed in the attires of great patriots and they filled the atmosphere with ‘Vande Matram’ and ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. There was enthusiasm and cheer amongst students. Flag hoisting was done by Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan & the students of Kindergarten. All the staff were also present there. The star attraction was the dance by primary students. Teachers too recited patriotic songs. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan in her address exhorted the students to follow the footsteps of our martyrs and fight against the social evils prevalent in our country. The event ended with National anthem & Oath Ceremony.

GREEN LAND TAKES ANOTHER LEAP IN CLASS XII RESULT

It was a day of excitement for Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 when the result of XII was declared. Heading towards excellence, students of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 shined in all the streams. The whole atmosphere was drenched in enthusiasm at the fabulous result. 11
students scored 90% & above. In Non Medical stream, Salvia Batra brought laurel to the school by scoring 93.8% followed by Charanjot Singh (93%) and Shairal Sharma (91.2%) . Komalpreet scored aggregate of 93% in Medical, followed by Akarshan Kumar (90.6%). In Commerce stream - Varinderjit Singh scored an aggregate of 92% and Pooja Tarar scored 90.4%. In Humanity group,  Komal grabbed an aggregate of 93%, Anjani Moudgill scored 91.6% , Kanika & Chawi Choudhary got 90.2%.

Pool Party At Green Land Convent School, Sec-32

In a vogue to invoke the rain, a ‘Pool Party’ was organized at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh for the K.G. wing. An artificial ‘Sea Beach’ was created with ‘Sand Pit’. Kids tapped their feet & enjoyed rain dance. Director of the school Ms. Vinita Sanan shared the fact that playing in sand & building sand castles inculcate a feeling of oneness with nature. She appreciated the efforts of the teachers for making the students enjoy in such an enthralling manner. Principal Ms. Gunmeet Kaur stated that informal learning make teaching learning process more enjoyable and build strong connection between child and teachers.

‘World Family Day’ was celebrated in Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. Students of III standard presented a ‘Class Presentation’ on the topic My Family – Nuclear and Joint.

Director of the school Mrs. Vinita Sanan emphasized on the Moral Values which should be inculcated among the children by the family members. She laid stress on giving due respect to Grandparents & Parents always. Principal Mrs. Gunmeet Kaur addressed the students and told the importance of love, trust and openness in a happy family.

Mother’s Day At Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh.

Mother, the incarnation of love and affection and an epitome of sacrifice was given a warm salute on the eve of Mothers’ Day. Students of various wings presented a cultural fiesta as a tribute to Mother and Motherhood. On the occasion, an essay writing competition was organized for classes IV-V with the theme ‘Mother- The First Teacher of Life’. There was a craft activity also for classes I-III. Students made beautiful photo frames, paper flowers and many things. For classes VI-VIII greeting card making competition was organized. Students made beautiful greeting cards. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan opined that children should respect their mothers because they are the guiding force behind all their endeavors.

 

A TAX AWARENESS DRIVE HELD AT GREEN LAND CONVENT SCHOOL SEC.32, LDH.

An informative and thought provoking session to create awareness among the students of senior classes about the importance of paying taxes was held at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32. on 3rd May, 2018 S. Arvinder Singh, Additional Commissioner Income Tax, Ludhiana, Mrs. Charu Madaan DEO, and Sh. Hari Narayan (Inspector) were the resource persons. This tax awareness drive has been initiated by the Government. A floral welcome was accorded by the Director of the school, Ms. Vinita Sanan to the Guests of the day. They planted a sapling 'Bottle Palm' to kindle a sense of responsibility among the future tax payers of the Nation. Sh. Hari Narayan addressed the students of the senior wing and asked the students to serve the Nation in an honest way. He said that for overall development of the country, good infrastructure, defence, education, health, etc. we should pay our taxes sincerely and timely. He also told them about the prestigious job opportunities in the lncome Tax Department. He sensitized the students of the senior wing about the importance of paying taxes. The students were made to take a pledge by S. Arvinder Singh that they would be responsible citizens of the society & to pay taxes honestly and in a rightful manner. Director of the School Ms. Vinita Sanan said that the aim of this awareness Programme is to spread tax awareness amongst the future tax payers and to inculcate the culture of taxation. She further appreciated the efforts made by the Government in initiating this move of spreading awareness about the tax payment at the root level. The school Principal Ms. Gunmeet Kaur gave vote of thanks to the Guest of honour.

 

Fresher’s Party At Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh.

Fresher’s Party was organised at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh to initiate the active learning process of little kids and to mark the beginning of New Session for  Pre-Nsy and Nsy. It was a delight to watch little angels in colourful dresses. The confidence of the tiny tots walking the ramp was worthwatching.

Harshpreet Singh & Jai Vardhan was adjudged as Mr. Fresher & Samayra was Ms. Fresher. The crown of Mr. & Miss Active went to Aarav & Gracy. Jaisneet Kaur won everyone’s heart with her beautiful smile. Jenisha Kalra & Vanya Jangra were declared Miss Photogenic. Saina, Sanaha & Akshay were awarded with Mr. & Miss Style icon. Pari & Jasnoor were crowned as Mr. & Miss Fashion Icon. Janvi & Prabhkirat got Mr. & Miss Healthy Skin Award. Rehatpreet Kaur secured the hash tag  of Miss Beautiful Hair Style.

Rehmat got Miss Beautiful Award & Agamleen grabbed Miss Rampwalk Award.

Kids tapped their feet on music and enjoyed their day. They had a gala time enjoying. It was a party not only for enjoyment but also for creating a strong bond between teachers and students. The Director of the School Ms. Vinita Sanan & Principal Ms. Gunmeet Kaur presented crown to Mr. Fresher and Tiara to Ms. Fresher and wished them good luck.

The scholars of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32,  Harveer Singh, Dipanshu and Animesh Thakur brought laurels to school by their outstanding performance in JEE mains Exam. The Chairman of the Chain of Green Land Schools Sh. Rajesh Rudhra congratulated the students on their great success.

 

A Purifying Ritual – Hawan at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32

On the occasion of Budh Purnima, and to mark the beginning of the session a Hawan was performed at Green Land Convent School Sec-32, Chd Road, Ldh Sh. Rajesh Rudhra Chairman –Cum-Director of Chain of Green Land Schools, General Secretary Ms. Usha Rudhra, President of the Trust Mr. Shabad Rudhra, Ms. Vijayata Rudhra Dr Shweta, Director of the school Ms. Vinita Sanan, Principal Ms. Gunmeet Kaur, staff & the students of XI-XII were also present on the occasion. Blessings of the Almighty were sought through recitation of Mantras and hymns (Shlokas) by Pandit Sh. Ajay Vashisht. Everybody was actively involved in the ceremony with deep faith and bonding to the God Almighty. All contributed in the ‘Purnahuti’.

Chairman Sh. Rajesh Rudhra in his speech made the students aware about the importance of Hawan and its significance. He stated that it creates vibration of positivity and synergises the energy. He discussed in detail about the importance of ‘Vedas’. He also stated the importance of ‘OM’ and opined that Hawan is an effort to create link with cosmic consciousness. The melodious ‘Bhajans’ by students mesmerized everyone. The ambience was filled with sacredness. The Hawan culminated with ‘Aarti’ ‘The offerings to the Almighty’.

 

Green Land Celebrates “International Dance Day"

A „Solo Dance Competition” for classes IV-VI was held on 28th April, 2018 at Green Land Convent School, sec-32 Chd. Road on account of “International Dance Day”.

The competition started with great zeal and enthusiasm. Young modernists were thrilled to be a part of colourful, vibrant and energizing event. Hands, feet and bodies decorated in colourful costumes, twinkled, flipped and jumped on the stage of the school. Different kinds of dance forms: western, contemporary, hip-hop, Rajasthani, Punjabi etc were performed by the pupils. The happiness of the children was evident in their expressions resulting in applause and appreciation.

The winners were awarded by the Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan. She congratulated the participants and appreciated the performance of the children and encouraged them.

 

National Panchayati Raj Day’ at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh.

A special dramatic presentation was organized to mark the importance of the ‘National Panchayati Raj Day’ at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh. Students of VII & VIII Std. presented a mock presentation of the Panchayati Raj System & its duties on the stage in a very impressive manner.

The Director of the school Ms. Vinita Sanan gave an inspirational speech to the students and threw light on the importance of Gram Sabha and Panchayat.

Principal Mrs. Gunmeet Kaur appreciated the efforts of the students and shared her knowledge with the students about Panchayati Raj.

 

STUDENTS URGED TO READ AT WORLD BOOK DAY CELEBRATIONS

Students and teachers of Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh. celebrated ‘World Book Day’ with great enthusiasm. The day encouraged children to explore the pleasure of books and reading. “Book Mark Making Competition” was organized for the classes VI to VIII. In primary wing Book Reading Competition was organized in the school library. Students were guided about famous books and their authors like Shakespeare, John Keats, Ruskin Bond etc. Special morning assembly was conducted in the order to tell the importance of reading books. Principal Ms. Gunmeet Kaur encouraged the students for extra reading. Director of the school Ms. Vinita Sanan guided them how to take care of books and share their old books with the poor and the needy. The whole day students were busy in reading and maintaining the books.

Ambedkar Jayanti’ At Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh..

The Birth Anniversary of Dr. Bheem Rao Ambedkar was celebrated at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh. This key figure in framing the constitution was remembered by a competition ‘Slogan Writing’ children made beautiful slogans on Dr. Ambedkar. Certificates were also distributed. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated everyone and exhorted the students to keep in mind always the ideals of this great man.

 

Baisakhi Celebrations at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh.

Baisakhi, a festival of joy was celebrated at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road. The festival in which farmers are jubilant, marks the time for harvest or rabi crops. The cultural programme on the occasion enthralled everyone. There was a medley performed by students naming ‘Baisakhi Mela’. The choreography ‘Jallianwala Bagh’ filled everyone with patriotism. Group dance ‘Folk’ mesmerized everyone. The star attraction was the solo song by Mehak. The colour of Baisakhi and cries of ‘Jatta Aayi Baisakhi’ reverberated in the skies as gaily dressed boys and girls moved here and there.

Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the students on the foundation day of Green Land Convent School. She made the students aware about the importance of Baisakhi. She told that this day marks the foundation of Kahlsa Panth by the tenth Sikh Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

 

World Health Day

 

Zest and Enthusiasm At Green Land Sec 32

New Session was bubbling with Enthusiasm at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road. The session started on 5th April, 2018. It was a day of hustle and bustle. Curious children were humming with activity. Every child was filled with confidence to have new books, bags and uniform.

Welcome cards were distributed in junior classes. In the classes III-V a Paragraph writing Competition was organized. Tiny little angels of PNSY-KG  relished sweets. Badges were awarded to well-dressed and most disciplined students. In the classes I-II a colouring competition was organized.

Principal Ms.Vinita Sanan greeted the children with lots of love and cheers. She welcomed everyone and in her address she stressed upon the value of hard work in the students’ life. All in all, the beginning of the new session was full of cheer and activity.

The Birth Anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh was celebrated with religious fervour at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. The school was decked up to mark the celebrations. To spread the divine ambience, students of the primary, middle and senior sections stressed on the importance of unflinching faith in the Guru through poems and speeches. A beautiful Shabad ‘Har-Har Naam Dhiyavo’ recited by a teacher mesmerized everyone.  The students excelled in the Shabad Gayan. The Shabad ‘Waho-Waho Gobind SIngh Ji’& ‘Deh Shiva Var Mohe Ehe’ filled all with religious faith.

Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan appreciated the students for their dedicated efforts and opined that such celebrations are must for making the students religious minded and thus bringing out a transformation in society.

 

GREEN LAND TAKES ANOTHER LEAP IN CLASS XII RESULT

It was a day of excitement for Green Land Convent School, Sec-32 when the result of XII was declared. Heading towards steps of excellence, Green Land School topped in all streams. The whole atmosphere was drenched in enthusiasm at the fabulous result. In aggregate Palak Goyal of Science stream brought laurels to the school emerging as topper by grabbing 95.6%. In Commerce stream Divya Rudhra scored an aggregate 93.6% and Madhu Luthra scored 92.8%. In Humanity group Prabhjot Kaur scored an aggregate 92% Director Sh. Rajesh Rudhra and Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the winners for their commendable victory. Ms. Vinita Sanan stated that hard work never goes unrewarded. It is untiring and relentless efforts of the Green Landers that has won them these coveted positions.

LSSC(CENTRAL) PRINCIPALS’ MEET AT GREENLANDCONVENTSCHOOL, SEC-32, CHD. ROAD, LDH.

A meeting of Principals of Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex(Central) was held at GreenLand Convent School Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana. Wherein 25 Principals from various CBSE schoolswere present. The host Principal who is also the Joint Secretary of LSSC welcomed the Principals and apprised everyone about the agenda of the meeting. The Director of Ludhiana SahodayaSachools Complex (Central) Mrs. NavitaPuri (Principal, KVM School) took charge of discussing the Annual Calendar of Activities of 2017-18. The school Principals unanimously approved the distribution of activities after a detailed discussion.
The house also discussed the latest changes in the examination pattern and curriculum by the CBSE. The Secretary of LSSC Mrs. GurmantKaurGill(Principal Guru Nanak International School)urged all the school Principals to come together on a common platform for providing quality education so that best services may be rendered to the nation. She pressed upon the need of supporting each other for enhancing quality in teaching and learning process. Mrs. BaldeepPandher Principal Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School proposed a vote of thanks. The meeting concluded on a healthy note and with a promise that the spirit of oneness and cooperation would prevail amongst the member schools.

'Declamation' Contest At Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh.

In order to enhance the stage confidence of little kids, an English Declamation Contest was organised at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road, Ldh. for the classes IV-V. The topics were interesting like Books-Our Real Friends, TV and Children, Our Environment, Role Model For Children. All the students orated well. But some students spoke so well that everyone was spell bound. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan congratulated the winners with the words that such competitions are a must to remove stage fear from the minds of the students.

?Fruit Carnival’ at Green Land Convent School, Sector – 32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana

Fruit Carnival was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Green Land Convent School, Sector – 32, Chd. Road, Ludhiana. The day was celebrated for the students of class II. The students were told to bring fruits from their homes. They themselves came in the attires of different fruits and were looking chubby as Mangoes, Apples, Bananas and so on. Their teachers were signifying the importance of eating fruit daily. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan in her address advised everyone to know the importance of fruits.

Green Land Sec-32, shines in class X CBSE Result

It was a jubilant moment for Green Land Sec-32, Chd Road when the students of class X produced 100% result in X CBSE. It was a moment of pride not only for the students but also for the teachers, parents, management and Principal as well. Out of 176 students 56students secured perfect 10 CGPA, 11 students got 9.8 CGPA and 30 students grabbed between 9.0& 9.6 CGPA. The toppers were in enthusiastic mood when they came to know about their result.
Chairman Cum Director Sh. Rajesh Rudhra congratulated thestudents for their toil and efforts. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan encouraged the students with the words that milestones can be achieved through hard work and determination.

Zest and Enthusiasm At Green Land Sec 32

New Session was bubbling with Enthusiasm at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Chd. Road. The session started on 4th April, 2017. It was a day of hustle and bustle. Curious children were humming with activity. Every child was filled with confidence to have new books, bags and uniform.
Welcome cards were distributed in junior classes. In the classes III-V a Paragraph writing Competition was organized. Tiny little angels of PNSY-KG relished sweets. Badges were awarded to well-dressed and most disciplined students. In the classes I-II a colouring competition was organized.
Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan greeted the children with lots of love and cheers. She welcomed everyone and in her address she stressed upon the value of hard work in the students’ life. All in all, the beginning of the new session was full of cheer and activity.

Basant Panchami celebrated at Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Ldh.



Green Land Convent Sec-32, Chd. Road was bubbling with enthusiasm on Vasant Panchami , a festival marking the start of spring and Holi Seasons. All the teachers were attired in yellow dresses. This day dedicated to goddess Saraswati began with group song Saraswati Vandana & ?Maa Saraswati Shardhe’ a group dance was also performed to pay obeisance to the Goddess. This day is celebrated to mark the importance of ?Rituraj’ Vasant the king of seasons. To add flavor to the event the children brought yellow sweets and other eatables. Different competitions were organized at school. The students of Nursery to II sought blessings from the Goddess of Knowledge. Yellow gaudy costumes and traditional jewellery worn by tiny tots caught the eyes of the beholders. Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan expressed joy and opined that in order to aware the children about our culture such festivals should be celebrated. She further related the story of Brahma who gave every creature of the earth the power to speak on this auspicious day.

Paddlers From Green Land Convent School, Sec-32, Excelled in Table Tennis

The Paddlers from Green Land Convent school, Sec-32 emerged victorious in LSSC Table Tennis Tournament held at Darshan Academy, Bhamian, Ldh. From 23rd to 25th January, 2017. Teams of both boys and girls from major CBSE schools participated in the competition. In under 19 & 17 category (Girls) Green Land, Sec-32 secured First Position. These girls have been winning this competition continuously for the last three years in their respective category. In Under-14 category (Girls) Second Position was bagged by the school. Chairman – Cum – Director Sh. Rajesh Rudhra congratulated the winners and stated that sports are a means to inculcate team spirit and confidence among children.
Principal Ms. Vinita Sanan expressed satisfaction at the performance. She opined that participation in games and sports is mandatory for the overall growth of children.
