Children don't naturally know how to make good choices, Life skills help children know what to do in everyday situations as well as how to make good decisions about more abstract long term choices. If we work with a child to teach him/her Social Skills, we prepare the child to manage peerpressure and make good decisions as he/she grows into adulthood. Emotional skills help the childthrough the turbulence of adolescence and help him steer clear of irresponsible decisions throughout his life. Encourage the child to stay organized with school work. Your child's time management skills will be cardinal asset as he enters adulthood and the workforce. Set goals for your child for long term savings. Allow him to make financial decisions.
